Pre Whitewater Creeking Ritual: I always splash my face with water before making an intimidating drop.

Post Whitewater Creeking Ritual: If it goes well and I’m still in my boat, I fill the gorge with hoots and hollers.

Why I Love Working at Salem Summit: I spend my day surrounded by great people who share my passion for the outdoors and all the fun you have out there.

Job Title: Friend of Rocks, Knower of Socks, Frequenter of Birkenstocks, and always down to talk with customers while working the floor!

Favorite Outdoor Activities: backpacking, mountain/trail running, skiing, overall exploring.

Outdoor Playgrounds: Anything with elevation! The Chugach range. The Cascades as a whole. And I continue to fall in love with old growth forests.

Essential Gear: A raincoat in the PNW, a puffy (down mid-layer) in AK, and a fleece and Heath bar anywhere!

Pre Hiking Ritual: Getting creative with snacks, and preferably acquiring a Heath bar for the summit.

Post Hiking Ritual: Foood! And potentially a movie, that I may or may not fall asleep during.

Why I love working at Salem Summit: I love interacting with people from the Salem area, and the customers as a whole. Through their wonderful stories and various weekend plans alike, customers continue to open my eyes to areas I would have never known of by solely going to university in the area.
